Be a part of a school support DREAM TEAM that meets the needs of the whole child in a structured and joy-filled environment.
General responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Help students attain an optimum level of personal and social adjustment.
- Consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and supporting agencies concerning
the needs and abilities of students. - Ensure that all activities align to school guidelines.
- Lead the continued implementation of NC Peaceful Schools restorative practice
- Communicate effectively with all members of the school, district and community.
- Work effectively with success coaches and community organizations.
- React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
Qualified candidates have:
- School Counselor Licensure or Family/Mental Health Licensure
- Experience working with youth, preferably in a school setting
- Knowledge of high school and college advising
